    Vodafone Germany has announced that its 500Mbps cable broadband service is now available in 100 cities, following the launch of the high speed offering in Munich at the start of this month. The 500Mbps cable network now passes 2.5 million households, representing around 20% of homes across Vodafone's cable footprint.

    Vodafone Germany has launched cable broadband speeds of up to 500Mbps for residential and business customers, matching the maximum data rates available over its mobile network since May. In the next few weeks the UK-owned firm will begin rolling out the high speed fixed broadband service to around 2.5 million households, representing around 25% of homes across its cable network footprint. Deployment will initially take place in 124 towns and cities, starting with Munich.

    It was the poorest weather of the day when we reached Mungstener Brucke, a railway bridge between the cities of Solingen and Remscheid. Finished as early as in 1897, its length is 465 m, height 107 m with a parabolic span of 170 m.
