    Federal and municipal representatives for several north Warren County municipalities sent a letter to a local utility provider in an attempt to convince the company to at least talk about improving broadband internet access for residents and businesses after individual attempts were ignored. U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer, D-5th Dist., Blairstown Mayor Herman Shoemaker, Hardwick Mayor James Perry, Hope Mayor Tim McDonough and Knowlton Mayor Adele Starrs signed a letter addressed to Service Electric Cable TV Inc. President John M. Walson urging the utility provider to follow the lead of Century Link in the area and work with the mayors on improving internet access and speeds.

The boy is no longer in school and is charged in the juvenile justice system with possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, possession of a weapon on school property, possession of a handgun, possession of a prohibited weapon and harassment, Prosecutor Richard Burke said late Thursday morning.
