    The Oneida and Vilas County Transit Commission inched closer to instituting a new transportation route for residents of the Northwoods during its meeting on Nov. 13. In existence as an idea since May but having only recently gained steam in October, the proposed program would transport members of the general public, as well as the cross country ski club at Lakeland Union High School to Minocqua Winter Park. In the experimental arrangement, area residents and members of the non-LUHS supported group would be driven by transit commission vehicles a couple of times a week for the usual rates - $2 for a one-way trip - and, potentially, a few more excursions in the near future.
