    Smith County sheriff officials say that Eduardo Ramirez Pineda, the leader of a drug trafficking ring, allegedly oversaw daily operations of at least 15 marijuana cultivation sites in East Texas found in Smith, Sabine, Houston, Harrison, Upshur, Morris, Anderson, Van Zandt and Henderson counties. Pineda turned himself into Smith County Sheriff's Office officials Friday morning.
