    UNION COUNTY, N.C. A couple in Union County are behind bars after police say they were caught in possession of drugs and a weapon during a traffic stop. According to the Union County Sheriff's Office, deputies initiated a traffic stop near Indian Trail and seized more than 14 grams of cocaine, several ounces of marijuana, less than one gram of hash, and a handgun from a vehicle occupied by Shabazz McCarthan, 30, and his wife, Devon McCarthan, 25. Deputies say that Shabazz McCarthan has previously been convicted of bank robbery and providing false information to the FBI.
