    Two men have been charged with the death of a Caro woman after she died of drug intoxication on April 20. Deputies from the Tuscola County Sheriff's Department responded to a home on Dodge Road in Elmwood Township near Cass City after midnight for a possible overdose. Upon arriving they found 26-year-old Emily Dennis deceased, according to deputies.

With the closure of Traverse City State Hospital in 1989 and Newberry Regional Mental Health Center in 1992, the Caro Center in Tuscola County is now the northern-most of the state's five psychiatric hospitals.
