    Was Eric Langlais acting recklessly when he punched James Unfonak in the jaw, who then fell and ultimately died from the blunt force when he hit the ground in January of 2016? That is what the Strafford County Attorney's Office seeks to prove beyond a reasonable doubt as Langlais, 42, stands trial for manslaughter. Opening statements of the trial came Wednesday afternoon in Strafford County Superior Court after the jury was brought to Gary's Restaurant and Sports Lounge in Rochester to view the scene where Langlais punched Unfonak, 44, on Jan. 31, 2016; Langlais died the next day.

Strafford County Chief Deputy Joseph McGivern said no residual powder remained on the envelope, the paper inside, the person who opened it or in the office where the envelope was opened, leaving investigators without a substance to test.
