    In an astonishing figure, South Webster has arguably called the Convo home more than any other team in Scioto County over the previously mentioned timespan - because in the last 15 seasons, South Webster - beside a couple of clear rebuilding years in 2008 and 2009, then again in 2015 and 2016 - has appeared at the Convo in 11 of the previous 15. In six of those years , the Jeeps have represented Scioto County at the regional stage, with the four consecutive trips to regional competition from '04 to '07 - including an OHSAA Division IV State Championship Game appearance in 2004 and the title-winning club that came along two years later in 2006 - being the gold standard for what has become the norm in South Webster.

    On Thursday, 23 Scioto County boys players from the District 14 realm found out that they did exactly that when the Division III and Division IV All-District 14 Coaches Association lists were released to the general public. Wheelersburg got the ball rolling early as Tanner Holden obtained Division III, District 14 First-Team honors with his 17.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.2 steals, and a block per contest on 58 percent shooting to lead the first team honorees, while Portsmouth's Matthew Fraulini and Northwest's Kyle Leslie each obtained Division III, District 14 Second-Team honors behind their play.

    Two Scioto County residents and a Columbus man are recovering from non-life threatening injuries sustained early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash in Pike County. The Ohio State Highway patrol continues to investigate the accident that occurred just after 3 a.m. on state Route 772 near mile post 8. According to OSHP, Bradley Higgins, 31, and Devin Galloway, 19, both of Lucasville, and Ian Hubbard, 23, of Columbus were ejected from the 2015 red Chevy Cruze in which they were riding after the car left the roadway, striking a ditch and overturning multiple times. 2 comments
