Dennis Case, who is retired from the Ohio Division of Wildlife, has found that when timber rattlers come out of their winter dens - usually in April - they bury themselves in the leaf clutter on the ground for about two weeks without moving, or they hide in the branches of a fallen tree limb or in a tangle of greenbrier.

Chancey Barry, 29, already serving a seven-year prison term for a June 2, 2014, robbery of a Citizen's Bank in South Webster in Scioto County, had another eight years tacked on in a plea agreement reached Monday in Gallia County Common Pleas Court that stemmed from his involvement in four robberies of convenience stores and gas stations stretching from Jackson Pike to Ohio 7 in Crown City.
