    UPDATE: The Sangamon County Coroner has released the name of a 69-year-old man who died as a result of a crash in Menard County on Tuesday. Russell Farnam, of Chatham, was pronounced dead at Memorial Medical Center's emergency room on December 6 at 2:40 PM.

The ceremony will be held at the Disabled American Veterans Hall, located at 25 Club Area in Springfield, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Activities during this ceremony include the presentation of a proclamation signed by Governor Bruce Rauner, a wreath laying, a Sangamon County Interveteran Honor Guard presentation, and the playing of Taps.

Although the program was coordinated by Sangamon County 4-H staff, this program was open to any active Illinois 4-H member in 7th, 8th, or 9th grade and involved youth from 27 different counties in Illinois including: Christian, Clark, Coles, Crawford, Edgar, Edwards, Effingham, Fayette, Ford, Jackson, Jo Davies, Kane, Kankakee, Logan, Macon, Macoupin, Madison, Marshall, McLean, Montgomery, Peoria, St. Clair, Sangamon, Stephenson, Tazewell, Washington and Wayne counties.
