    A Lufkin 18 year-old is behind bars after he allegedly led police on a three county chase where speeds reached 120 mph. According to a press release, a call came into dispatch around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday morning about a black Chevy Cobalt "Flying around the neighborhood" with a busted window off of Atkinson Dr. The report continues saying an officer caught up to the suspect vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop after seeing the driver fail to signal at a turn and then run the red light at Atkinson and Timberland Drives.

    A Milam man has died after a one-vehicle crash on State Highway 87, nine miles north of Hemphill in Sabine County. Department of Public Safety officials said 47-year-old Mervin Dickerson was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 when the car exited the roadway and hit an embankment.

    A Louisiana man died last week from injuries he suffered in a one-vehicle wreck three days earlier in Sabine County. According to the DPS report, Landry was driving a 2006 GMC pickup on State Highway 103, eight miles east of Milam, at 4:20 a.m., when he went off the road to the left, struck a culvert, then crossed the road to the right and struck a tree.
