    A person suffering from gunshot wounds drove into an elementary school parking lot in Mead Valley seeking medical assistance Wednesday morning, Feb. 7, after children were already in classrooms, according to a Val Verde Unified School District news release. The vehicle stopped in the handicapped parking area and Riverside County Sheriff's deputies and emergency medical personnel quickly responded to the 8 a.m. call at Columbia Elementary School in the 21300 block of Rider Street just west of Clark Street in Mead Valley.
