Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas Judge Gregory Chelak: Michael Edmund Smith, 44, Lake Ariel, Pa., was sentenced to 30 days to 90 days in the Pike County Jail, fined $500 and had his driver's license suspended for a length of time to be determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for the crime of Operating a Vehicle Without Interlock Ignition. The state police stopped Smith on Nov. 16, 2016, while traveling along I-84 in Palmyra Township for an expired registration.
