    A Waverly woman and a two-year-old child were injured in a single-vehicle crash in southern Pike County, Saturday afternoon. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Cassandra D. Blankenship, 39, was traveling northbound on Germany Road near the Pike and Scioto County line around 3:20 p.m. when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned after striking a ditch.

    The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports a one-vehicle injury crash in Pike County. At 2:20pm Friday, the Portsmouth Dispatch Center received a report of a the crash on Carrs Run Road just south of milepost 3. 49-year-old Hubert Stepp of Waverly was traveling northbound on Carrs Run Road in a 1991 GMC dump truck, when he failed to negotiate a curve and overturned.

Munger, 50, of Matamoras was sentenced to 18 months of probation and fined $200 in Pike County Court for possession of a controlled substance, according to the Pike County District Attorney's Office. The Eastern Pike Regional Police were dispatched to a residence in Westfall Township on Nov. 8, 2014 for an individual who had overdosed.
