    According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, at 3:50 a.m. Saturday a 36-year-old Sparta man was driving a 2004 Cadillac sedan southbound on U.S. 31 near Taft Street in Spring Lake Township at a high rate of speed when the car left the roadway, overturned numerous times and came to rest on the shoulder.

Cal Kuening says a 17-year-old Holland male whose name has not been released, was driving a Ford F-250 pick-up truck that was was traveling through the intersection to go west on new Holland Street.

    Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene on southbound US-31 at Taft Street at 3:05 a.m. Saturday, August 19. Sgt Jay Douglas says the man whose name is not being released pending charges, was traveling at a high rate of speed in a 2004 Cadillac Sedan when his vehicle ran off the roadway and then overturned numerous time. The vehicle then came to rest on the shoulder of the roadway.

    A 41-year-old Hudsonville woman is in stable condition after crashing her vehicle into a building at the Brook Meadow Apartment Complex in Georgetown Twp. Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene at 185 44th Street around 4:35 p.m. Thursday, August 18. According to a witness, the vehicle pulled off 44th Street into the apartment complex parking lot and stopped.

Matt Wilfong of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says the crash occured at US-31 and Lake Michigan Drive around 8:34 p.m. on Thursday, August 17. 35-year-old Kenneth Strohm of Muskegon was driving south on US-31 in a 2004 Chevy Venture and was unable to stop at the red light due to wet road conditions after heavy rain in the area. Strohm struck a 2017 Dodge Truck driven by 36-year-old Darnell Scrivy of Holton.
