The Oceana County Sheriff's Office accident report indicated driver Tyler Michael Rutzen, 23, of 1816 Summer Set Ct., Shelby, and passenger Brianna Lee Voorhees, 22, of 2865 Colby Rd., Whitehall, were taken to Mercy Hospital in Muskegon for treatment. The report indicates Rutzen was traveling south on Water Road when he was passed by a second vehicle driven by Joel Micah Howe, 18, of 3070 W. Wilke Rd. Rothbury.

Voter approval of the Separate Tax Limitations operating millage proposal will enable the county and the townships to renew and freeze their fixed separate tax levies for an additional 10 years and is a renewal of the fixed separate tax limitation approved by the electors Aug. 8, 2006.
