    The indictment, returned Tuesday, charges Christopher Wilson, 20, with one count of attempted sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato said. Wilson's case, which raised the ire of local police officers and prosecutors, was one of the first to be sent to a state appellate court after New Jersey adopted new bail rules that went into effect Jan. 1. After his arrest on Jan. 19, Wilson was released without bail, which sparked concern from law enforcement officials that he would be in a position to prey on young girls while he waited for his case to go to trial.

Christopher Wilson, 20, of Little Egg Harbor Township, was charged with second-degree attempted sexual assault and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Nicholas Piccolino, 34, of Seaside Heights, was scheduled to be arraigned in front of Ocean County Superior Court Judge James Blaney on April 10 on one count of animal cruelty but did not appear because he was serving a 20-day jail sentence in New York City on a shoplifting charge, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.

A preliminary investigation determined that Robert Fastow, of Burlington, brought his Ford Fusion to a stop at the Exit 77 ramp from the Parkway in Berkeley around 2:45 p.m. and was struck in the driver's side by a passing Ford F250, according to Ocean County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Al Della Fave.
