Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce Leah Andrews, started the banquet with a warm welcome for all guests, followed by the invocation by Richard Fergeson.

A late touchdown and extra point gave Haskell a come-from-behind 42-41 victory over Roscoe, while Highland began its season by winning at Grady 46-40, getting the winning score on a 3-yard run with :54 remaining in the game.

    According to a press release, the names of the two women who were killed in a Nolan County crash along I-20 on Friday have been released. Catherine E Schuetz, 50, of Plano and Celina Rochelle Schuetz, 20, of McKinney were both killed when their vehicle, a 2010 Nissan Sentra traveling east, hydroplaned upon rainy road conditions at around 12:30 p.m. and crossed the center median into the westbound lanes.

    Nolan County 4-H President and member of the 4-H state council Katie Pantoja recently took a 10-day trip to New Zealand and Australia. She left on July 10 and returned on July 19. Visiting several landmarks across the two countries, Pantoja visited such landmarks as the Sydney Oprah House, the Sydney Harbor Bridge, and the Great Ocean Road.
