    As a Monterey County resident, taxpayer and business owner, I personally think it is irresponsible to create more laws needlessly, especially when a measure masquerades as one thing when it really is about something else. The San Ardo oil fields have a solid 70-year history of doing business in the county next to farming, ranching and communities.
