    Wendy Leffert, 30, of Lorena, who's accused of posing as a fire victim and seeking donations, was charged with a state jail felony Tuesday in a new case in which she's accused of soliciting donations online in November for a family violence victim she told investigators she didn't know how to contact. She was arrested Tuesday on a warrant charging theft by deception of more than $1,500, but less than $20,000 after a woman contacted a McLennan County sheriff's investigator and said "Leffert had contacted her, and was seeking donations for a victim of family violence," who was forced to leave her home with her children, but with few personal items, an arrest warrant affidavit says.
