    McIntosh County magistrates have resumed conducting initial appearance hearings at the county jail, a task handled by Superior Court judges and the State Court judge after Chief Magistrate Teresa Jennings issued an order in April saying all the hearings would be conducted at the courthouse. In making her office at the McIntosh County Courthouse the venue, Jennings cited Judicial Qualifications Commission Opinion 239 which says the public must have access to all such hearings.
