    On Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at approximately 1:30 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a two vehicle collision on US HWY 27 in the Whitley City community of McCreary County. Upon arrival, Trooper Wendell Higginbotham determined that a 2003 Chevrolet minivan operated by Tracey L. Byler, 29, of Monticello was traveling northbound on US HWY 27 when she rear-ended a 2013 moped which was also traveling northbound operated by David F. Jackson, 46, of Stearns.

    On Saturday, June 11, 2016 at approximately 3:15 PM, KSP Post 11 received a report of a two-person fatality involving an ATV on US 27 South in the Pine Knot community of McCreary County. Upon arrival, Troopers Dackery Larkey and Tony Duncan learned unit #1, a Honda ATV operated by Tony Dewayne Myers, 43, of Helenwood, TN was traveling eastbound on Cal Hill Spur Road when it entered the intersection with US 27 into the path of unit #2 a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck operated by John Chitwood, 72, of Whitley City, KY.
