    Madison County Sheriff's deputies had to physically subdue three people who tried to flee following a wreck with a patrol unit Friday in Hull, authorities said. One woman was treated at Athens Regional Medical Center after she swallowed an undetermined amount of pills, while a man was released so he could be treated for injuries sustained while fighting with a deputy, according to a Madison County Sheriff's report.

Animal control officer Jack Huff responded to the call of a dead calf in a pasture off Rock Quarry Road, after a Madison County sheriff's deputy arrived to find the calf dead along the fence line, according to an incident report.
