    A judge has denied a Turin town councilwoman's request to end to her informal banishment from the town clerk's home office, but he did question the wisdom of conducting public business at a private residence. “The Town Clerk has the right to take reasonable precautions in meeting the public when he or she feels threatened or harassed, which would include scheduling a meeting at Town Offices to conduct such business,” state Supreme Court Judge Charles C. Merrell wrote in a decision filed Thursday in the Lewis County clerk's office.
