The state Office of Employment and Training says Woodford County had the state's lowest jobless rate at 3.8 percent this past May. Fayette and Oldham counties were next with 4 percent unemployment rates.

    A portion of U.S. 421 in Leslie County was closed for several hours Tuesday afternoon after a collision left a Harlan County woman dead and two others injured. Kentucky State Police told WYMT they believe slick roads contributed to the crash that killed 22-year-old Marina Lee on U.S. 421 in the Muncy's Creek community.
