    According to a Lawrence County Sheriff's Department report, 18-year-old Seth Hatchett of Brownstown was traveling north on Hearth Road near Pleasant Run Road when he topped a hill and the side mirror on his 1995 Dodge Power Ram clipped the side mirror of a southbound 2017 Ford Explorer driven by 35-year-old Amanda Owens. Owens told police that when she saw the pickup truck approaching her in her lane, she honked her horn, but the other driver didn't respond.

Lawrence County Sheriff deputies arrested 27-year-old Zarod Myers of Bedford on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 or greater. He was also cited for violating his motorcycle learner's permit for operating the motorcycle after dark.
