    The Jackson County State's Attorney announced Friday that a grand jury has returned an indictment charging Juwan K. Jackson, age 26, of Murphysboro, Illinois, with two counts of first degree murder, and one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm, in connection with a shooting incident which occurred in Murphysboro during the early morning hours of October 24. First degree murder carries a sentence of imprisonment for 20 to 60 years, followed by three years of mandatory supervised release. Jackson was taken into custody in Decatur, Ill., on Tuesday, Nov. 1 following a search involving the Murphysboro Police Department, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Marshal's Service and the Macon County Sheriff's Office.
