    Funded through the Federal Highway Administration's National Highway Freight Network, the projects include a $5.4 million rehabilitation of 53.4 miles of track in Irion and Reagan counties, and a $4.1 million rehabilitation of 37.4 miles of track in Crane and Upton counties. In Texas, anticipation is growing as construction crews rebuild 90 miles of track on the South Orient Rail Line.

    In a memo to city leaders this week, George Morrow, the general manager of Denton Municipal Electric, said the city expects to take delivery of electricity from a new wind farm about nine months ahead of schedule. Denton contracted with Invenergy in 2016 for electricity to be generated at a new wind farm the company is building near Big Lake in Reagan and Irion counties, about 330 miles southwest of Denton.

But Sweetwater wasn't able to protect its lead very long, and by the end of the period the Lady Hornets led 15-13 en route to a 63-49 win at Mustang Gym.
