Isiah Donte Brown, 25, of Belton, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana; Brandon Rashad Cephus, 39, of Hillsboro, possession of a controlled substance; Gabriel Miguel Cruz-Fuentes, 23, of Denton, forgery of a financial instrument.

Authorities made contact with a driver, identified as a 41-year-old Whitney woman, and a passenger, identified as a 23-year-old Whitney man during a traffic stop on Farm Road 1713 north of Whitney. While being questioned by deputies, the passenger told authorities that he had a small baggie of marijuana inside of the vehicle.

    The Hill County Commissioners' Court met in regular session Tuesday morning, June 28, and heard a presentation regarding a recent financial audit conducted on Hill County Emergency Services District 2. Hill County ESD 2 President Tad Duncan informed the commissioners that auditors from Beyer and Company, a certified public accounting firm located in Pleasanton, found no major discrepancies for fiscal year 2015. The president said that Hill County ESD 2 recently received a judicial ruling in their favor regarding the legitimacy of the election.
