Much has been said recently on the popular vote without a complete and necessary understanding of the current process that has been used since the United States of America was born.

    Greene County's commissioners will be asked next week to go on record in support of Gov. Bill Haslam's plan to obtain more revenue for Tennessee highway projects, which would increase the price of fuel. Under Haslam's proposal, announced Jan. 18, Tennesseans would begin to pay an additional 7 cents per gallon on gasoline and 12 cents per gallon on diesel beginning in July.
