    Over the past several months, the Sheriff's Office and Diego's handler, Deputy Ric Hottenstein, have been working with Family Pet Hospital in Platteville and the Veterinary Emergency Services Clinic in Middleton in hopes of improving the K-9's health. There was some success, however, it's believed Diego suffered a blood clot in his lungs causing him to pass away.

On January 2, 2015 in Montfort in Grant County, police say 27-year-old Morgan Slaight shot her sons, 6-year-old Jaxon and 8-year-old Joey, before turning the gun on herself.

    A former Boscobel prison guard has admitted to felony charges involving giving prohibited items to an inmate and having a sexual relationship with him. The Dubuque Telegraph Herald reports 58-year-old Cheryl Bartels of Prairie Du Chien entered her guilty pleas in Grant County Circuit Court Friday.
