    Another fast-food restaurant could be in Pawleys Island's future at the corner of Petigru Drive and U.S. Highway 17. The restaurant is part of a development plan for the property that also includes a second restaurant, plus office and retail space. A request by Winyah Bay Investments to rezone the 4.82-acre property from General Commercial to Flexible Design District was approved by the Georgetown County Planning Commission on April 16. County staff recommended the change, saying under the under the current zoning, the parcel could subdivided, which would mean more buildings and curb cuts for access, and separate signs along the road.
