Former jailer Robert Ellis, 21, and bondsman Margaret Cockrell, 60, are each facing felony charges after allegedly aiding in inmate Glen Toney Jr.'s escape on March 11. Ellis, who is represented by Louis Etoch, and Cockrell, who is represented by Angela Byrd, both filed waivers and pleaded not guilty before their Monday plea and arraignment hearing.
