Seth Gordon Peterson, of Ferron, is charged in 7th District Court with two counts of aggravated murder for the Nov. 2 shooting deaths of 45-year-old Susan Peterson and 23-year-old James Peterson at a remote ranch in Carbon County.

    Authorities say they have detonated an old cache of dynamite that was discovered by a hiker in the San Rafael Deseret in south-central Utah. The Salt Lake Tribune reported Tuesday that about two dozen sticks of aged dynamite were secured and blown up by a Utah bomb squad on Jan. 31. Last week's dynamite disposal comes after Emery County deputies responded to another abandoned explosives call in October.
