No injuries were reported but multiple roads were closed for several hours Thursday afternoon near Minden, where Douglas County officials declared a natural disaster on Wednesday when at least 140 homes reported some flood damage.

Carson City deputies located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop at the Fairview Drive Lowes, where Douglas County deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol also helped respond to the incident.

    The Douglas County Board of County Commissioners approved a disaster declaration after flooding on Wednesday as several days of heavy rain continued in the Northern Nevada community. "The declaration will allow the county to call in additional crews to help clear roads, debris removal and repair public infrastructure that continues to be damaged as repeated storms cause flash flooding," the county said in a statement.
