    A man was sentenced Friday to life plus 10 years in prison for fatally beating and robbing a man known well in the Dinwiddie community. 48-year-old Michael Edward Elmore of the 6500 block of Claiborne Road, Sutherland, Virginia was sentenced to life in prison after the September 2, 2013 attack, in which Elmore bludgeoned 70-year-old Carter Bascon Northington to death with a brick.
