    Guilty pleas to violations of drug and alcohol laws in Craven County Superior Court this week resulted in active prison sentences for New Bern and Vanceboro residents. Craven County Resident Superior Court Judge Ben Alford held session this week, mostly for administrative matters, but cases on the court calendar for which guilty pleas were being offered were accepted, said Scott Thomas, District Attorney.
