    The Columbus County courthouse in Whiteville was determined to be "safe for the employees and public to enter the building without personal protective equipment" after an air quality study conducted on Jan. 24. An earlier study, conducted Aug. 27, showed "high relative humidity and percentage moisture measurements on building components in the courtrooms and multipurpose room." The same areas also showed high fungal levels.
