    The child sexual abuse case of Etowah County CEO Patrick Simms has been turned over to the next Chambers County grand jury. Simms was named as a suspect in a case involving the sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old that was supposed to have occurred around Feb. 8. The Lafayette Sun reported at the time that the mother of the child contacted law enforcement saying Simms molested her child while driving a vehicle in the county.
