Shelmidine, the General Brown Central School District Board of Education announced that it “was not able to enter into a contract with candidates who had risen to the top in our search process” and will be forced to restart its superintendent search in the 2017-2018 school year. According to a letter from the district, “candidates in this search were also pursued by other districts at the same time.” The Olean Times Herald, in Cattaraugus County, reported on May 9 that the Olean City School District had offered Mr. Moore its superintendent position.
