    Authorities in Caswell and Rockingham counties are investigating three shootings that occurred within the span of about eight hours Thursday night and Friday morning involving a father and daughter. The Caswell County Sheriff's Office responded to the first call around 9:50 p.m. Thursday concerning a man at 9711 Cherry Grove Road, Reidsville, suffering a graze wound to the back of his head.

    Caswell County authorities are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide after deputies found a man and a woman shot inside a home Monday evening. Deputies were called to conduct a well-being check at 614 Blackwell Road around 6 p.m. Monday and subsequently located Valerie Bigelow Wiley, 46, of the residence, who had sustained at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead by Caswell County Emergency Medical Services.
