Keith Jiles and Deputy Coroner Keith Hancock advanced to the runoff when neither in last week's three-candidate primary was able to reach the 50 percent vote total needed to to win outright. Final voting totals showed Jiles with 3,223 votes, which accounted for roughly 40 percent of the total number of votes cast, while Hancock finished with 2,966.
