    A Carroll County couple involved in a July 2014 crash at a Logansport exchange of the Hoosier Heartland Corridor has decided to sue the state's department of transportation as well as the two companies contracted to construct the highway - where more than 60 crashes have happened since the interchange opened in 2013. Gene and Cathy Knight, the plaintifs in the case, submitted a complaint for damages in Cass Circuit Court on July 13 against the Indiana Department of Transportation, United Consulting Engineers Inc. and Primco Inc., citing negligence of designing, engineering, constructing, marking and maintaining a stretch of the Hoosier Heartland Corridor in Logansport.
