    Efforts to sell the State Correctional Institution at Cresson have hit a snag, even as Pennsylvania Department of General Services officials announced Friday the former State Correctional Institution at Greensburg is now up for sale. The minimum bid for the Greensburg facility is set at $860,000, and offers must be submitted by 3 p.m. Feb. 18. While that's good news for Westmoreland County, the same can't be said for Cambria County - as officials suffered a setback this month that has delayed plans to sell the Cresson facility to an unnamed buyer.

State police said William Lewis, 81, of Stoystown, Somerset County was travelling south on Route 281 without his headlights on when he collided with a Freightliner truck driven by 53-year-old Rodney Beck, of Ebensburg, Cambria County at 5:41 a.m. Police said Mr. Beck was pulling out of the store parking lot and did not see Mr. Lewis' car approaching.
