Charles Plitt of Weaver Police said Daniel Rich, 31, of Anniston, was taken into custody about 8 a.m. Plitt said an anonymous tip alerted police to Rich's hiding in a vehicle behind a house off Spruce Avenue.

    A Weaver man died as a result of an early morning accident near Piedmont, according to Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown. A Jacksonville woman was also injured in the one-car accident that occurred about 4 a.m. today on Max Wellborn Road near Alabama 21. Patrick Brown, 41, was pronounced dead on the scene.
