    In about 30 minutes, jurors convicted William Randolph Reynolds Jr., 57, of two counts of sodomy, for engaging in "deviate sexual intercourse," and one count of sexual abuse of a child younger than 12. Reynolds sexually assaulted the victim between August 2012 and May 2014, Calhoun County Assistant District Attorney Jayme Amberson said after the jury was released for deliberation. The victim came forward about the abuses in November 2014, Amberson said.

    A Calhoun County judge agreed Wednesday to reduce the bond for a woman charged with murder after prosecutors' key witness was killed in a car wreck last week. Circuit Judge Debra Jones reduced Pamela Deann Smith's bond from $250,000 to a $50,000 property bond and ruled that she is not to live with her husband, Allyn Troy Smith, who is also charged with murder in the same case.
