State Police's Corinne Geller says six children of various ages were waiting at a bus stop along Route 15 near Dillwyn shortly after 7:30 this morning when their school bus approached.

    The quake, which had a magnitude of 2.4, occurred 3 miles from Dillwyn and had a depth of nearly 5 miles, according to preliminary data from the U.S. Last year, the USGS announced it had located a new fault zone in the aftermath of the natural disaster, marking the first time a fault zone in the eastern United States produced a magnitude 5 or higher quake "clearly delineated by aftershocks", according to the USGS report. At this time, there is no information available on how many people may have felt the Wednesday morning natural disaster.
