The run will take begin and end in the parking lot of the First Texoma National Bank located on Evergreen Street and North Second Avenue in Durant. United Way director Pam Robinson said that last year, the event raised more than $10,000 which went to aiding Bryan County agencies that are providing food for the people in the Bryan County community.

    Editor's note: The courthouse has been closed the past two days due to weather and the Bryan County Election Board requested this be posted online, even though the deadline is 5 p.m. today, Feb. 25. Registered voters in Bryan County who want to vote by mail absentee ballot in next Tuesday's Silo Bond Election have until 5 p.m. today to request one, County Election Board Secretary Linda Fahrendorf said today. Voters who want to cast absentee ballots still can do so in person at the County Election Board office on Thursday, March 26, or Friday, March 27. A two-member, bipartisan Absentee Voting Board will be on duty each day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday to assist absentee voters.
