    A Kenefic woman died Friday afternoon from injuries suffered in a wreck along a Bryan County highway, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. About 9:50 a.m., Juanita Herrin, 79, was driving a car west on State Highway 22 when she failed to yield while turning onto State Highway 48 and was struck by a pickup, troopers said.

    Registered voters in Bryan County who want to vote by mail absentee ballot in next Tuesday's Presidential Preferential Primary Election have until this Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. to request one, County Election Board Secretary Linda Fahrendorf said today. Voters who want to cast absentee ballots still can do so in person at the County Election Board office on Thursday, Feb. 25, Friday, Feb. 26 or Saturday, Feb. 27. A two-member, bipartisan Absentee Voting Board will be on duty each day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday to assist absentee voters and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. "In-person absentee voters fill out an application form when they get to the office.

Deputies said they raided a 153 Ivy St. home in Mead where they seized methamphetamine, digital scales and drug paraphernalia, According to the sheriff's office, Investigators Jeff Wilson and John Haislip retrieved drugs from the toilet.
