    The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is not yet releasing the identity of a man shot Monday night near the Bulloch/Bryan county line by deputies serving a bench warrant from Effingham County. Bill Bodrey, special agent-in-charge of the Region 5 GBI office in Statesboro, said Tuesday he is withholding the name of the 52-year-old man out of courtesy for families involved.

    Local residents can expect stormy weather for several more hours Bryan County Emergency Services Director Freddy Howell said Sunday morning. "We haven't had much to deal with so far and hopefully we won't but there is the possibility," Howell said at 10 a.m. Coastal Electric Cooperative Vice-President Mark Bolton said earlier that there were a few power outages due to the storms with about 180 Bryan County homes without electricity, mostly on Fort McAllister Road.
